The birth of Check app stems from a personal experience that forever changed our founders perspective on safety during traffic stops. Years ago, as a high school student, Founder Chinedu Odiari found himself in a harrowing situation when he was pulled over by a police officer, and in an instant, faced the terrifying gaze of a gun pointed in my direction. Witnessing the tragic consequences that can arise from such encounters, Odiari embarked on a mission to find a solution that would enhance safety for both motorists and law enforcement officers.

Driven by a desire to bridge the gap between drivers and officers, Chinedu embarked on numerous ride-alongs with law enforcement personnel. Through these experiences, gained invaluable insights and firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by both parties during traffic stops. Inspired by the vision of promoting mutual safety, Chinedu set out to create Check app.

Check app was born out of the belief that technology can play a vital role in fostering transparency, trust, and safety on the roads. Our aim is to empower drivers with a tool that provides real-time video documentation of traffic stops, ensuring accountability and protection for all parties involved. By seamlessly capturing and securely sharing video footage with designated contacts, Check app aims to promote safer interactions, mitigate potential risks, and foster a sense of security and confidence during traffic stops.
